Create This Quick Floral Arrangement Using Lilacs, Columbine Flowers and Plants From Your Garden!

Lilac and Columbine flower arrangement Farm Fresh Living
One of the benefits of having a diverse garden is that it allows you to create fast, easy and unique flower arrangements using foliage and blooms that are readily available.

Everyday at our farm store in Summerville, Oregon I create a new floral arrangement using cuttings from a variety of plants that happen to be blooming that day. The arrangements fill our garden store with fresh blooms from the retail nursery. This quick arrangement was made in early spring using:
  • yellow flowers - Denver Gold Columbine
  • purple foliage - Cotinus Purple Smoke Bush
  • white blooms - Madame Lemoine Lilac
  • yellow flower at back - Achillea Coronation Gold
  • purple blooms - Nepeta 'Walker's Low' Catmint
Surprisingly the delicate flowers of Denver Gold Columbine almost outlasted the sturdy stems of Madame Lemoine lilac!
